| PRIVACY STATEMENT Jin
Ting Liang / Teresa Liang is the user of this Privacy Statement
and will hereinafter be referred to as "we" and/or "us".
The term "you" shall be understood to mean any natural person
or corporation to whom use our website or providing identifying
information in any form.
Privacy Statement
We receive very little personal identifying information from
visitors to our website and only for a narrow set of purposes.
Typically, identifying information is provided when, for
example:
- subscribing to our mailing lists
- requesting further information
- sending us feedback about the website
- requesting a hotlink on the website
Personal identifying information may consist of basic contact
information, such as name, title, home or business address,
email address, telephone and facsimile numbers. Other
demographic information, such as gender and occupation, is not
actively sought.
If you decide to send us information which identifies you
personally, e.g. in an email message in which you have asked for
a direct response, we may retain your message in order to
improve the service which we provide on the website. This
information may contain your email address and your "screen"
name.
Our policy is not to seek any sensitive information through
our website.
It is suggested that you do not provide sensitive information
of any nature. If you choose to do so for any reason, we accept
your explicit consent to use that information in the ways
described in this policy statement or as described at the point
where you choose to disclose this information.
We will never release, sell or give away your personal data
to any other entity within our organisation for secondary or
unrelated purposes, or share it with a third party, without your
explicit permission.
Except for the mailing list activities which we may run on
some parts of our website, where visitors explicitly choose to
receive materials from us, we will not use personal data
collected from our website to facilitate unsolicited marketing
activities by ourselves or by third parties. You may change your
choice at any time.
Cookies
A cookie is generated by a software application on a site's
server which enables it to customise services to the interests
of the user by tracking the user's navigation through a small
text file on the user's hard drive. It can then be called up by
the server when required. It is a means of enabling the
personalisation of content which is returned to the user, for
site-monitoring, or simply remembering which web pages a user
has previously visited. For example, a cookie can be used to
store registration information in an area of the site so that a
user does not need to re-enter it on subsequent visits. Both
Netscape Communicator and Internet Explorer support the use of
cookies, and it is usually possible to configure your browser to
refuse all cookies, accept all cookies, or ask when a cookie is
offered. Cookies are a very useful navigational aid.
We do not use cookies to collect and distribute information to
third parties for any purpose.
Log files
If you visit to read or download information, such as to
interrogate databases or to read online newsletters, we will
store and collect in log files only the following information
about you:
- the name of the domain from which you access the Internet
- the date and time you access our website
- the IP address of the website from which you linked
directly to our site
- the string which you entered into the search box on the
home page
- the extent to which your search was met
- the browser you are using
We use the information we collect to measure the number of
visitors to the different sections of our website, and to ensure
that we are meeting their needs.
Changes to this Privacy Statement
We reserve the right to modify or amend this statement at any
time and for any reason. Nothing contained in this statement is
intended to create a contract or agreement between we and any
user visiting the website or providing identifying information
in any form.
